Through history fruits have always been used to create still life portraits. Old oil paintings of bowls of fruit hang in every museum and the art of portraying them realistically has been practiced for the ages. With modern technology new ways of creating still life images have come up and this poster is an example of a classic motive captured in a new way. This wall-hanging is a printed photo, and it depicts a pear cut in half lying with is insides upwards. The shadow of a hand is reaching for the tasty stone fruit, a black silhouette against the green background.
