Describe a typical day in your life!
Everyday starts with a cup of coffee and a good half hour of daydreaming...then the dogs get their hour-long walk. After that it's different depending on the work/job/client. No two work days are the same, it's one of the things I love most about owning my own floral design studio. The one constant is that there really isn't ever a dull moment.
What's the one interior piece you would save if your house was on fire?
After the animals are surely safe, it'd be a toss-up between the husband and a charcoal drawing from an insanely talented artist friend. most likely, I'd throw water on the husband and grab the drawing.
What's your biggest source of inspiration, do you have a role model?
Nature, wild, urban, suburban doesn't matter...the movement, the colors, how it behaviors, all of it. I wouldn't say I have a role model; but there are lots of people who inspire me, whether for their talent, passion or commitment to their cause.
What’s your go-to gift to bring to a house warming party?
Fresh Local Flowers and they seem to mean more if they're flowers I grew myself.
What are you doing in ten years?
Traveling the world, teaching people about the beauty of designing with seasonal/locally grown nature. I'd love to be in Auastrailia teaching at Christmas.

...most proud of the work produced, but even when I know it's not exactly the best design. I photograph as much of the works as I can. I learn more about the flowers, light and the camera each time.

Playful, Colorful, Bold, Unexpected.
What/who inspires you and your photography?
The flowers inspire me most but I also find inspiration in nature, architecture and music. The designs are often inspired by the client's space and story as well.
What's your best place on earth?
A rock with an ocean view on the west coast of Ireland, and in the evening, the local pub.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I'm really good at dusting and vacuuming.

Flowers are fleeting and since each design is unique, the photography is necessary not just to catalog the work; but it also acts as a reference point for my own growth as an artist. Having the ability to look back is often a great tool to help us move forward....it's cliche, but we learn from our mistakes don't we?
